The Heavy Equipment Operator program serves to meet the growing demand for equipment operators in the construction industry.  Students will earn an industry-recognized credential for each level of training.  In the Heavy Equipment Operator Level 1 training, students will learn equipment safety, basic operational techniques, basic earthmoving, interpretation of civil drawings, the basics of loading, unloading, excavating, and trenching, and more!  Students receive hands-on training while using simulators that replicate real-life operating scenarios through rotation-motion platforms and high-resolution 3D displays for excavator and wheel loader equipment.  The Level 1 training also includes NCCER Core Craft.

This is a hybrid course, with online course materials and hands-on lab time with simulators.

Associated Credential:  NCCER Core; NCCER Heavy Equipment Operator Level 1
Dates: March 7 - April 14, 2022
Days: HYBRID – Mondays - Fridays: 8:00AM - 12:00PM.  Instruction is both online and in person.

Workforce Credential Grant (WCG): $1,500
Tuition: $4,500 (Price includes 1 certification exam)

*Must be 18 years or older.  High School diploma or GED is not required.

Weeks 1-6:  NCCER Core Craft
Week 7-12:  Heavy Equipment Operator Level 1
Weeks 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12:  In Person Simulation & Testing

Registration Deadline for Non-Credit Classes: 
All registration documents must be submitted by 4:00PM one (1) week prior to class start date. 

Payments must be submitted by 4:00PM three (3) business days prior to class start date.
