Color Guard
Unlike the typical gatherings, as with last year’s graduation ceremony featuring the Franklin High School ROTC Color Guard presentation, the 2020 ceremony will take place virtually.

Camp Community College will hold its 49th annual commencement ceremony virtually on Friday, May 8, at 7:00 p.m.

Chief Marshal Bob Tureman will open and conclude the ceremony. Dean of Student Services Trina Jones will deliver the invocation.

Other speakers will include a welcome by Local College Board Chairman Dr. Davida Harrell-Williams, words of encouragement from President Dr. Dan Lufkin, and an inspirational speech titled, “Dreams Come True at Camp,” by Class of 2020 general studies major Jonoven Savage of Chesapeake.

In addition, Vice President for Academic and Student Development Dr. Tara Atkins-Brady will present congratulatory remarks and present graduates for the conferring of degrees. The names of graduates and their degrees/certificates and honors will be scrolled during the ceremony.

Graduates will receive an invitation via email with more information about the ceremony.
