Ms. DeMone’ Brickhouse, affectionately known as “Coach Brickhouse”, is a 2017 graduate of Virginia State University. While attending Virginia State University, Coach Brickhouse was a member of the softball team which earned her a spot on the All-CIAA team. Upon graduating from college, Coach Brickhouse combined her love of athletics with her softball skills and insight to begin her coaching career by volunteering with travel ball and community-based organizations, such as Down the Middle Foundation. While coaching and volunteering, Coach Brickhouse also developed a passion to train youth and young adult athletes.
In addition to serving as a stellar coach and trainer, Coach Brickhouse serves as a Lead Special Education Teacher at Southampton High School, where she also has coached the Girls’ Varsity Volleyball and Softball teams for 4 years, along with the girls’ Varsity Basketball team for 1 year. Some of the team honors earned during her leadership include the volleyball team ending their season as Tri-City District Champions, ranking third overall in the 3A Region.
She is a proud Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated member, and a loving and supportive mother to her daughter.
